¿Por qué te abates, oh alma mía, y te turbas dentro de mí? Espera en Dios; porque aún he de alabarle, Salvación mía y Dios mío. Salmos 42:5

I Love You
“Because you are a part of my life, God brought us together because he knew we were soul mates. Sometimes we are both very busy, you are working two jobs, and I work and go to school, but even if we are apart we remain on each others minds. I will always love you.”

I Love You
“For all the things you do for me, you make me feel like a true princess, even though I don’t feel like one at times, you go out of your way to take care of me like every man should take care of their wife. You are a great provider and I know that in the future you will be a great dad.”

I Love You
“For the special little moments that we share, like when you try to sing to me like “Chente” or when we walk around the Seaview Mall or our get-aways to Vegas, or to the movies or just simply when we lay in the living room holding each other watching TV. Because you are such a hard worker, and a very responsible man, you are so smart especially when it comes to cars. I am so proud of you, you are my baby and that will never change, as we grow older and many years go by, I’ll be here for you my love”

I Love You
“Because you are my best friend, even when sometimes you tell me “You are not my friend no more”. I also like that you have an inner-child with whom I can be my silly self, I like it when we play around, and I put you in a headlock. You are a great friend.”

I Love You
“Happy Valentine’s Day 2-14-04, writing you all these notes brought tears into my eyes, I want you to keep these hearts like I keep all the memories of us deep in my heart, don’t stay up too late, I’ll see you in the morning.”
Love always,
Your wife, Gina.

Oct. 23, 1969 - Jan. 26, 2009

Henry went into the Lord’s hands on Monday, January 26, 2009. He is survived by his wonderful wife Gina Basaldua, who is the luckiest lady on earth to have had spent 8 years with the love of her life, who has been everything to him and made him happy. And by his wonderful parents Lorenzo and Consuelo Basaldua, who will cherish him for all the wonderful years they spent with him.
Henry was a caring husband, son, brother, uncle, godfather, brother-in-law, co-worker, and friend.
He passed away peacefully at home in Oxnard, after a brief illness.
Henry was born Oct. 23, 1969, in Port Hueneme, graduated from Channel Islands High School in 1988, and was a lifelong Ventura County resident for over 39 years. He was a faithful employer for the county of Ventura for over 9 years, and the Ventura County Star for over 14 years. Henry was a wonderful person and very outgoing.
He loved children especially his nieces and nephews, and was always happy with a smile on his face. He was such a hardworking man, and always kept busy.
He enjoyed playing cards, working on cars, watching sports (football), and spending time with his family during birthdays and other occasions. He would eat, chat a little, laugh, and then head off to work. Henry was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, and was always geared up. He was always helpful when we needed him as a mechanic because he knew it all, would do it right, and take his time. He has always been good to his brothers and sisters, and Mom and Dad when we needed his help, it was never “No”, (“Yes I will do, but after work, or after I take a nap”), but he would get it done, and knew you could count on him for anything.
Henry may be gone, but he certainly isn’t forgotten — and never will be. He was from an era when a handshake or his word was a bond, and his friendship was everlasting.

Henry's Guest Book

Salmo 37 1-6
